About the Event
This project invites guests to explore themes of home and family, memory, identity, and place making. Participants are asked to respond to the prompt “what reminds you of home?” and to write, paint, and/or collage their responses onto giant puzzle pieces. These pieces will be mounted to a backing, creating a giant, collaborative, puzzle piece mural. Admission: is FREE but Tickets are required!
Participants will...
- Share stories about their homes, cultures, and personal experiences.
- Learn about different painting/craft making techniques.
- Develop a community art project.
- Create in the name of promoting vulnerability, empathy, and communal joy.
About the Venue: Gallery 1101 is the first home of the Baltimore County Arts Guild. It offer affordable artist studio space, ongoing exhibits and classes. Learn more about our Resident Artist Program.
