TK Blue Live with Eric Kennedy and Abasi Akoto

In celebration of African-American History Month February 2023, T.K. Blue presents The T.K.Blue Trio and "Royal Blue" with T.K.Blue sax, flute, and kalimba; Eric Kennedy drums; and Abasi Akoto (Steve Kirby) acoustic bass. "Royal Blue" is a tribute to the great African-American innovators and composers in Jazz who help shape its direction and evolution while always maintaining the essence of "swing". They will perform selections from a few amazing ancestors who left us a rich legacy of original music, as well as some original compositions by myself in dedication to those whose shoulders I stand on. "Royalty" would be a pertinent and sacrosanct description of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives to bring us the joyous sounds of Jazz. T.K.Blue January 31, 2023

About the Venue: The Clubhouse is a 100-seat, intimate performance space located in the heart of the Catonsville Arts District. Recently acquired, it is owned and operated by the Baltimore County Arts Guild and serves as a center of the arts in Baltimore County. Additional classrooms provide space for classes and workshops.
