Snehesh and Anirudh: Classical Music with the Sitar and Tabla

Fathers Day Special featuring Hindustani classical music and beyond

The evening opens with Snehesh and Anirudh featuring Sitar and Tabla.  The sitar and tabla performance will include an introduction of a particular raga by the melodic instrument (sitar), then a segment containing compositions in the raga with rhythm accompaniment (tabla) at different tempos, and then conclude with a coda section. Although trained in the old tradition of Hindustani classical music Snehesh has also studied jazz and electronic music. Having mostly learned from his father Pandit Sugato Nag, Snehesh has gone on to develop his own style of playing informed by different styles of music. He has received multiple accolades, been featured in various media reviews, and has garnered international acclaim, having performed in venues across India, the US, and Canada.
