Join the Baltimore County Arts Guild and Catonsville Arts District on Saturday, October 10, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, for the launch of Signs of People.
Created by artists Eva Salmerón and Ciro Márquez and fabricated by Kyle Miller, this new public art and historical wayfinding project features ten colorful, 12-foot-tall signs installed along Frederick Road and Winters Lane. Each sign depicts the silhouette of a local person pointing toward a historic site and includes stories, photographs, maps, and accessible features that bring Catonsville’s history to life. Meet the individuals featured on each sign!
The celebration will include an opening ceremony and the unveiling of the ten signs. Signs of People was made possible through the generous support of the former Catonsville Historical Society, the Maryland State Arts Council, the Baltimore County Department of Planning, the Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle, and Patapsco Heritage Greenway.
