About the Event
In this course, we will read plays of the 19th and 20th Century which had an influence not only in the times they were written, but on our world today. A diverse array of American and European writers will be presented in comedy, tragedy and hybrid forms. This class is FREE, but tickets are very limited and so reservations are required. Adults, or High School students with some dramatic experience are encouraged to participate. Classes: Mondays, Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16, Nov 23. 7:00- 8:30 p.m. Materials provided. This class is held in the Main Hall, an auditorium that seats 168. The class is limited to 12 registrants. Masks required.
About the instructor: Tim McCusker is a native of Baltimore County, and graduate of the UMBC theater program. Tim continued his professional training in London, UK. He worked with John Houseman's The Acting Company, touring North America. Later he toured with the Alaska repertory Company to fourteen communities including several venues above the Arctic Circle, including Barrow Alaska. After several years in film production in New York City, he returned to Baltimore and served as tenured faculty at CCBC Essex in the Theatre Department. Additionally, he has worked as a musician in Washington D.C. and Baltimore. These classes, events and workshops are provided through the support of the Baltimore County Arts Guild, the Maryland State Arts Council and the Citizens of Baltimore County.
