About the Event

Use wooden cigar boxes and applied collage techniques to make a one-of-a-kind gift box -- perfect for holding jewelry, letters, tea, or anything you want! The workshop lasts 2 hours. Instructor, Morna McNulty will demonstrate techniques and provide personal assistance. All materials are provided, although participants are welcome to bring photos or other materials to make their box. Ages 10 to adult. Bring a friend! Parent and child combos welcome, too!.

Cost: $5.00 per person.

About the instructor: Morna McNulty has been an educator/arts-integration specialist with students of all ages for 25 years. She is a professor in the College of Education at Towson University. She has published several of her photographs in various journals, co-produced the documentary film Voices of Baltimore: Life Under Segregation, and published Blood’s Will, a vampire novel. Her collage art is available for sale at It’s Neighbor Made on Frederick Rd, or on her website.

About the Venue: The Clubhouse is a 100-seat, intimate performace space located in the heart of the Catonsville Arts District. Recently acquired, it is owned and operated by the Baltimore County Arts Guild and serves as a center of the arts in Baltimore County. Additional classrooms provide space for classes and workshops.

This program is sponsored in part by the Citizens of Baltimore County, the Maryland State Arts Council and the Baltimore County Arts Guild.
