About the Event
Cost: $10 per class – pay in cash at the door or online in advance.
"The Priest in His Boots" is a traditional Irish solo set dance that can be performed in either a flat, sliding style or on the balls of the feet. This class teaches the complete dance, including its specific steps to the accompanying tune. We suggest students have some rudimentary dance experience.
IMPORTANT: You’ll want to dance in supportive shoes with a smooth hard sole — NOT athletic shoes.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Kelly Smit has been teaching and performing Irish dance for over 15 years. She has learned from and performed with dancers across the US and Ireland. She can often be found dancing up a storm at trad music sessions around Baltimore.
