About the Event

Session I: Thursdays 7:30pm, Oct 8, Oct 22, Nov 5, Nov 19

Cost: Free

Ages: 16 and up

Class Maximum: 15

Description: Each session includes 4 workshops led by national recording artist, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon. Each in-person series is limited to 15 students and will be held at the Clubhouse in Catonsville. Participants will learn the basics of songwriting through an interactive and collaborative approach. Weekly projects include solo and co-writing assignments built on the song building method developed and used by Harmon. Periodic online meetings via zoom may be arranged for participants to showcase their progress on assignments. All students are welcome regardless of whether they've played an instrument or have previous writing experience, however, these workshops are not a substitute for music lessons and will require a basic level of musical understanding.

These workshops are provided through the support of the Baltimore County Arts Guild, the Maryland State Arts Council and the Citizens of Baltimore County.

The Baltimore County Arts Guild complies with all county and state safety guidelines related to Covid 19. Social distancing and masks are required. In the event that this class can not be held in-person due to changing circumstances, it will be held online.
