About the Event

Madhubani is a traditional Indian painting style from northeastern India. These paintings were originally created on freshly plastered mud walls and floors of huts, but today they are also made on cloth, handmade paper, and canvas. Madhubani paintings mostly depict people and their connection with nature.

The patterns in this art form are intricate and earthy.

In this hands-on workshop, mixed media artist Durga Ekambaram will guide you through the process of creating your own Madhubani painting on canvas.
