Carl Filipiak has built a strong reputation for bringing the stylistic approach of guitar heroes like Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck to his contemporary style of instrumental jazz. He has been awarded "Best Jazz Instrumentalists" by the Washington Area Music Association, "Best Guitarist" from Baltimore Magazine and "Best Jazz Musician" from the City Paper. 

Carl Filipiak has been called "a dazzling versatile guitarist" by JazzTimes and many of his recordings and performances have paired him with some of the industry's finest musicians including Dennis Chambers, Victor Wooten, and Grammy saxophonist Bob Berg. He will be performing with the Jimi Jazz Band, featuring Frank Young on drums, Paul Hannah on sax, Matt Everhart on bass and Rachel Hall on guitar/vocals. The group will be performing a mix of instrumental jazz, along with rock and blues that will also feature vocalist Rachel Hall. They will be highlighting their new music and originals from "Hotel Real" and "I Got Your Mantra" - bringing the spirit of the sixties into the 21st century. Not to be missed.   

Doors open at 6:30p.m.  Show is at 7:00p.m.

About the Venue: The Clubhouse is a 100-seat, intimate performance space located in the heart of the Catonsville Arts District. Recently acquired, it is owned and operated by the Baltimore County Arts Guild and serves as a center of the arts in Baltimore County. Additional classrooms provide space for classes and workshops.
