Billy Kemp: Live at the Clubhouse

About the Artist: Baltimore native Billy Kemp is a songwriter and music maker. Now residing in middle Tennessee, he has recorded seven solo records and written over three hundred songs. Though his style is roots music, he has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, played on international rock tours, and composed music for Maryland Public Television. His concerts feature original songs and stories on guitar, banjo and piano.

About the Event: This is a special record-release concert to celebrate Billy’s new recording. Onions, Old Movies & You  is not a blues record so much as it is a blues-infused record that took this roots musician back on a journey to where it all began: to the basements, garages and filling stations where he first heard the blues and honed his craft as a songwriter, singer and guitarist. They say all roads lead home - Billy was raised a few blocks from the Clubhouse!

About the venue:  The 1101 Gallery is a exhibition space, shared studio space and teaching space of the Baltimore County Arts Guild. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Shore United Building at 1101 Maiden Choice Lane.
