You’ve learned the basics of looking like a drag artist – but do you know how to perform as one? In this class, we’ll discuss stage presence, song choice, performance length, choreography, pacing, and more – including a step-by-step example of developing a drag routine.

Whether you're an aspiring performer, or you're simply interested in learning about the art of drag firsthand, this class series is for you. Yes, you! Regardless of gender, you can be a drag king, queen, clown, or whatever form of drag artist you can imagine. Drag can be for everyone!

Learn about the history of drag, along with how to develop your own drag persona, aesthetic, makeup look, and performance. Sessions will build upon each other, and participants will have the option of performing in a student showcase at The Catonsville Clubhouse in February.

About the Venue: The Clubhouse is a 100-seat, intimate performance space located in the heart of the Catonsville Arts District. Recently acquired, it is owned and operated by the Baltimore County Arts Guild and serves as a center of the arts in Baltimore County. Additional classrooms provide space for classes and workshops.
