About the Event

Wondering what to give that special someone for Valentine's Day?

Create a one-of-a-kind gift for someone you love this Valentines’s Day!

The box is a gift in itself, or take it home and fill it with other goodies! Imagine all the possibilities!

All materials are provided.

Participants will be given a cigar box and collage materials to create a Valentine's Day gift.

Artist and educator Morna McNulty will use the first 15 minutes of class to demonstrate collage and paint techniques for this activity. One-on-one assistance can be provided by instructor as needed, or participants can work independently.

No previous art experience required. This activity can be modified to fit various skill levels and developmental needs. Space is limited to maximize teacher-to-participant engagement.

About the instructor: Morna McNulty has been an educator/arts-integration specialist with students of all ages for 25 years. She is a professor in the College of Education at Towson University. In addition to her work as an educator, she has published several of her photographs in various journals, co-produced the documentary film Voices of Baltimore: Life Under Segregation, and published Blood’s Will, a vampire novel. Her collage art is available for sale at It’s Neighbor Made on Frederick Rd, or at www.educationalchemy.com
