Did you ever want to try to paint with watercolors? Don’t know where to start. Or perhaps you did paint long ago, and feel like you need a jumpstart to return to your craft. If so, this is the class for you. No experience necessary, however, some basic drawing skill, although not required, would be helpful.

The first class will introduce you to the materials you will need, including suggestions and options. I will also provide you with a couple of practice exercises for you to try once you get your materials and before the first class begins.

The four lessons that follow will take you through a learning progression of challenges designed to give you the skills needed to venture out on your own.

Materials: This is an online class. You can join via computer, tablet or phone. We will talk about specific materials in the introductory class and you will have time to secure them before the first class, but generally, you will need water color paints, brushes, watercolor paper, a palette to mix colors, paper towels.

About the Instructor: Judith Fulmer has studied art at Towson University and The Cape School of Art. She paints in a variety of mediums including watercolor, pastel, and oil.  She primarily paints plein air or landscapes in the great outdoors.  A resident of Maryland, she travels to Cape Cod where she continues to pass on and teach the Cape School plein air impressionism. She has been represented in galleries in Baltimore, Annapolis, Rehoboth, and Provincetown.

This class, and reduced tuition, is made possible by the Baltimore County Arts Guild and the Citizens of Baltimore County.
