Join us for an unforgettable two-hour cooking class called "Salsa on 2," led by instructor Dr. Tasha Johnson.
This class will focus on Afro-Latin cooking and learn how to make delicious salsas using ingredients indigenous to African and Latin cultures.
Participants will come for the salsa making and dancing but leave with an experience (community building and culinary arts education).

Our expert instructor specializes in creating Afro-Latina fusion dishes and will guide you in making and tasting delicious salsas. With a focus on community building and culinary arts education, this class will leave you with an unforgettable experience. Dr. Johnson will combine the art of cooking with historical knowledge about the African origins of beautiful Latin music. You'll come for the salsa making and dancing but leave with a deeper understanding of Afro-Latin culture and cuisine.
Learn to make salsa step-by-step with fresh ingredients at different temps (mild and medium), and enjoy Dr. Johnson's enlightening discussion of the history of Latin music as it is expressed in salsa dancing.

About the Venue: The Clubhouse is a 100-seat, intimate performance space located in the heart of the Catonsville Arts District. Recently acquired, it is owned and operated by the Baltimore County Arts Guild and serves as a center of the arts in Baltimore County. Additional classrooms provide space for classes and workshops.
