About the Event

Art as a Second Language is a powerful group exhibition celebrating artists who are new to the United States. Inspired by the 2026 World Art Day theme, “Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art,” this exhibition highlights the ways creativity transcends language and connects us all.


This opportunity is open to refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants who have been in the U.S. for three years or less. No prior exhibition experience is required—your story and creative voice are what matter most.

Artists are invited to submit up to two pieces of artwork. Works must be ready to hang (wired) and can include 2D or wall-hanging 3D pieces, with a maximum size of 3 ft x 4 ft.
