About the Event

The Artists Handwriting: Intuitive v. Analytical

Explore the stylistic differences inherent in your personae as we challenge comfort zones to enhance your creative signature.

The practice of the basics is foundational to the visual arts. This workshop will explore methods, materials, and concepts useful in developing drawing skills for the beginner, as well as provide a reaffirming touchstone for those with experience.

Artist and MICA instructor Duane Lutsko will provide insights into perception and drawing that promote reflection and awareness. The workshop will borrow from Bert Dodson’s Keys to Drawing to investigate practices and develop proficiencies to gain confidence and explore the creative process.

Participants are required to provide their own materials. The instructor will provide a detailed materials list. Bert Dodson’s book, Keys to Drawing, is also recommended reading.
