Facility and Programs Manager


Performs administrative, programming and facility management for the Catonsville Clubhouse and Gallery 1101.  



Works under the guidance of the Executive Director.



Coordinates rental clients, program instructors and provides oversight of facilities.



Serves as the administrative manager, rental agent, program coordinator and facilities coordinator


Management and Administration Include:

  • Facility coverage including openings and closings and program readiness

  • Coordination of class teachers, classroom space and scheduling

  • Assisting the Executive Director with oversight of Gallery 1101 artist studio leases, payments, assignment of studio space and waitlist for studio space

  • Managing the physical space including oversight of occasional maintenance, facility access, key management and organization and inventory of supplies and materials

  • Maintenance of physical and online files

  • Updating online schedules

  • Assisting the Director and consultants with marketing and communications outreach, including social media outlets

  • Assisting the Director with class listings

  • Tracking visitor numbers, program participation and required demographic data

  • Answering phone calls and emails in a timely way and forwarding them as needed to the appropriate person

  • Conducting walk-throughs, ensuring rental compliance, processes rental agreements


Development and Financial

  • Assists in grant writing and reporting, membership tracking and annual drives

  • Coordinates with the Director and bookkeeper to provide data for good financial records and receipts


The ideal candidate will enjoy working with the community and be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. The candidate will be reliable, self-directed and willing to learn new skills and to innovate, as needed.  Candidate will have experience planning and coordinating programs. The job will require updating of websites and social media, basic accounting and computer skills including database entry, Microsoft word, and Excel. Candidate should have experience with grant writing and reporting or be willing to learn. Access to transportation is required, as is the ability to respond quickly to an onsite emergency, if required.

This is a part-time job with a guaranteed 20 hours per week that will include some weeknight and evening hours. The job pays $15 hour. Within the next 6-9 months, this job has the potential for added duties and an additional 15-20 hours per week.
